The Wingsuit Wiki

A place to collect knowledge about wingsuit flying.

Wingsuit flying (or wingsuiting) is the sport of gliding through the air using a wingsuit. A wingsuit is a suit worn by skydivers and BASE jumpers which adds surface area to the human body to enable a significant increase in lift. A wingsuit is comprised of two arm wings and a leg wing which are supported by the use of ram-air inflatable pressurized nylon cells. This allows jumpers to fly significant horizontal distances at a slower descent rate, thus increasing their time in freefall. Wingsuit pilots use changes in body position to control forward speed, direction and lift
